    It is estimated that Black consumers spent nearly $9 billion on (beer, wine, and spirits) alcoholic beverages in 2020. Wine is the primary alcoholic beverage choice, and spirits are the secondary. Black cigar smokers are among the highest out of that $9 billion business. Yet Black alcohol & cigar ownership and distribution is only 1% of the total alcohol & cigar industry. Black restauranteurs are only 9% owners of the restaurant industry. Blacks are expected to spend $2 trillion in retail stores.  Yet only 15% of products are made by Black-owned companies.  Blacks rank last when it comes to (Food and beverage) F&B, tobacco, and retail brand ownership.
